Zachary C. Hansen is an associate in the Pasadena office of Vanderford & Ruiz, LLP. He focuses his practice on employment law, general litigation, public entity defense, and general liability.
Mr. Hansen received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey in 2018, where he was the Senior Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Circuit Review journal. Mr. Hansen’s article, entitled, “You Don’t Need a Weatherman to Know Which Way The Wind Blows: An Analysis of Red-Flag Knowledge Under the DMCA” was published in the Volume XIV, Number 2 edition of the Seton Hall Circuit Review journal. During law school, Mr. Hansen served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Chief Justice Stuart J. Rabner, of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. During the summer after his first year of law school, Mr. Hansen was an intern in the Business & Legal Affairs Department of BMG Rights Management (US) LLC, in New York City. He also had the honor of competing on Seton Hall Law School’s Moot Court Board at the Global Antitrust Institute Invitational in Washington, D.C. in February 2018. During his final year in law school, Mr. Hansen participated in a litigation-based Criminal Defense Clinic, where he represented criminal defendants in New Jersey’s Essex County Special Remand Court on a pro bono basis. Mr. Hansen earned a BA in Political Science with a minor in History from Colorado State University in 2011.
Mr. Hansen is admitted to practice law before all courts in the State of California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
